Engines designed by Reggiane

At Reggiane Vortex engines and 24 cylinder unit were designed from 1937 and later Re103 during WWII

Main features were:

Ca.24
- air cooled
- 24 Cylinders with X Layout to be hosted horizontally inside of the wing

Vortex:
- air cooled
- boxer engine

Re103:
- gasoline direct injection
- 3 speeds compressor for RE103 RC50 version and 2 speeds for RE103 RC40
- 18 cylinders on 3 banks
- water cooled
- Re104: derived from Asso L121 RC40 with 2 speed compressor, aimed to replace DB601
- Re105: it's the same Re103 with different compressor in order to reach 10000m. Compressor was based on 2-stages 4-speeds
